A financial-services platform that rebuilds trust through clarity

Essence International is one of China’s leading financial institutions, providing securities and futures trading services. To compete in Hong Kong’s crowded financial market, the company needed a digital presence that matched its professional positioning and supported business growth.

The problem archetype

The website had not been updated since 2011. It contained a large volume of content — from service offerings to market news and stock quotes — but the information architecture made it hard for users to find what they needed. Live market data also had to stay current without cluttering the interface. The experience felt dated and undermined the firm’s credibility.

Our execution

We rebuilt the information architecture around user tasks, then used whitespace and collapsible sections to present heavy content without clutter. We treated market data as a primary use case, surfacing stock quotes, listed company information, and financial news in context rather than burying them in PDFs.

The outcome

A modern, credible platform with a crisp color system and coordinated layout. Both the brand image and usability were lifted, giving users a genuinely rounded experience.
